About Benjamin
I am a passionate biology tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI). My love for science comes from a strong academic foundation paired with real-world experiences that bring the subject to life. I completed an internship at an entomology center, where I gained hands-on experience with insect identification, ecology, and research. I also worked as a water polo coach, which taught me how to motivate students, break down complex ideas into manageable steps, and support learners of all ages in achieving their goals. As an avid rescue-certified scuba diver, I’ve explored marine ecosystems firsthand, giving me practical insights into ocean biology that I enjoy sharing with my students. In my personal life, I’m a proud dog dad to two wonderful dogs who keep me active and constantly remind me of the beauty and wonder found in the natural world. I bring this unique blend of academic knowledge, field experience, coaching skills, and genuine enthusiasm into every tutoring session. My goal is to help students not only succeed in their biology courses but also develop a real appreciation and curiosity for the living world around them.
