About Iris
After earning a qualification in English Education in China, I pursued a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a Master's in Investment Banking (with distinction) in the UK. I then gained valuable experience in project management at several multinational corporations. However, after several years in the business world, I realised that my true passion lies in the Chinese language and writing, which led me to transition into a career in Mandarin teaching and writing. In my free time, I enjoy playing classical guitar, practising Chinese calligraphy, and exploring Chinese tea. As a certified Senior Chinese Tea Taster and Tea Master, I have a deep appreciation for the art of tea. If you share a passion for Chinese culture, we’ll have plenty of fascinating topics to discuss.

I teach students of all ages, from Mandarin beginners to exam candidates and business Chinese learners. My lessons are personalised, engaging, and structured to meet each student's unique needs. My teaching career began in Hong Kong. After several years in the field, I joined 3D Avatar School, an online education company, as the Head Language Instructor and Curriculum Developer for Mandarin Chinese. Subsequently, I co-founded KWIK Mandarin, where I served as a Partner, overseeing course development and acting as the chief trainer. After relocating to the UK, I began teaching privately, and my students have achieved exceptional results, including achieving scores of 9 in the GCSE exam.
