About Micah
I’m a passionate Math tutor with over 9 years of experience helping students master advanced problem-solving techniques. I hold a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, which strengthened my analytical mindset and precision in mathematical thinking. Over the years, I’ve worked with many motivated learners who enjoy tackling challenging problems. My teaching emphasizes critical thinking, logical deduction, and creative approaches to unfamiliar questions. Mathematics, to me, is a discipline of discovery. Each problem invites us to look deeper and think differently.
I have led numerous problem-solving workshops where students collaborate, debate strategies, and refine their reasoning. I also coach students preparing for mathematical competitions. These environments push students to develop flexibility and persistence. Number theory is one of my favorite topics to explore. It’s full of elegant patterns and surprising results.
Much of my work focuses on gifted students and aspiring mathematicians who are eager to go beyond standard curricula. Together we analyze complex problems and uncover powerful strategies for breaking them apart. My aim is to strengthen both confidence and intellectual curiosity. My teaching approach focuses on building strong mathematical thinking through clear structure and step-by-step learning. I believe that complex problems become easier when they are broken into smaller, manageable steps. This method helps students stay confident while working through challenging material. Each lesson focuses on understanding ideas rather than memorizing formulas.
I teach key areas of mathematics such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics. Alongside these subjects, I emphasize problem-solving strategies and logical reasoning. Students learn how to analyze complex equations carefully and choose the right approach to solve them. Critical thinking is an important part of every session.
Lessons also connect mathematical ideas to real-world applications. This helps students understand why the concepts matter and how they are used outside the classroom. Analytical thinking grows stronger when students apply mathematics to practical situations.
Extra support is provided for learners preparing for important exams or transitioning into new academic or professional paths.
