Hello! My name is DaQuan, and I am a dedicated educator with a lifelong passion for the English language and the art of communication. My Teaching Philosophy & Approach I believe that mastering English is about building confidence through a mix of structured grammar and immersive conversation. My approach is student-centered; I move away from rigid, "one-size-fits-all" textbooks and instead use real-world materials like news articles, literature, or professional emails to make the language come alive. I focus on creating a safe space where making mistakes is seen as a vital part of the learning process. What a Typical Lesson Looks Like Each 60-minute session is divided into three distinct phases to ensure maximum retention: The Warm-up (10 mins): A casual conversation or "Review Quiz" to activate the vocabulary learned in the previous session. Core Instruction (30 mins): We dive into a specific goal, such as mastering a complex verb tense, analyzing a literary text, or refining an essay structure. Active Practice (20 mins): We apply the lesson through role-playing, timed writing exercises, or debate to ensure you can use the knowledge independently.
