About John
I was a "Hippy Art Student" from 1967 to 1970. In 1970 I dropped out of College, a decision which I later came tor regret very much, but I can't turn the Clock Back. I lost touch with Art for 22 years. In 1992 I tried to make a comeback and was offered a position at Gillingham 's Community Arts project, my role was a Publicity designer and Arts worker. The position also enabled me to do a short stint of Class Room assistance in Art at the Local Junior School, hold a number of small exhibitions locally and be featured on Radio Kent's Scene and Heard Arts Program hosted by Presenter Simon Evans. Although I was not able to make a living at art, my heart has always been in it. Over the years I have undertaken some art commissions and sold some work, just enough to pay a few bills. To support myself with a regular income, I have done various none art related day jobs.

My greatest inspirational artist to enable me to teach art is the Late Bob Ross, he had a friendly, warm, and homely demeanour, I try to use this same approach when tutoring art. I also teach the Guitar and other stringed fretted instruments and use the same methods in my art teaching. Please see my attached CV
