About Sue Ann
I am a dedicated and experienced tutor and teacher with a background in Early Childhood Education. I am proficient in classroom management and early childhood development. I have a strong passion for empowering students and helping them reach their academic goals. I have eight years of experience in teaching and tutoring both online and in person. My expertise spans a range of subjects, including reading, writing, and math, study skills, and test preparation.
I have honed my skills to nurture students across various age groups and cultural backgrounds.
My main focus is to help elementary students enhance their reading, writing, and communication skills. Although I specialize in teaching children ages 5-10 in elementary and middle school subjects, I have also worked with older teenagers and adults learning English for school, work, or personal reasons. I’ve been in the education field for over eight years, bringing a wide range of experience to my sessions.
Experienced Teacher Special Needs
I worked at an autism center as a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) (ages 5 to 8 years) for two years. During this time, I worked 1:1 with learners who have behavioral and/or developmental challenges such as Autism Spectrum Disorder in the home, at a center, and thus, I am sensitive to their sensory needs and will adapt the tutoring sessions to accommodate their challenges. In addition, I have spent several years working as an online English tutor (for both native and non-native speakers).
I provide continuous, positive feedback and ensure that the time spent together is of high value. I am very patient and will take the time to listen, build a rapport with my clients, and find the tutoring method that works best for you!
