About Abdul
Hey, I’m Abdul, a Computer Science and Engineering graduate with years of hands-on teaching experience and a deep respect for the learning process. Whether we’re tackling calculus, coding fundamentals, or complex algorithms, my goal is always the same: make the material clear, relevant, and actually enjoyable. I’ve worked with students at all levels, from high schoolers preparing for AP exams to college students grinding through problem sets and I know how overwhelming STEM subjects can feel without the right support. My teaching approach combines the Feynman Technique, Active Recall, and Blurting, a trio of strategies that have consistently helped students develop deep conceptual understanding and long-term retention.
I believe learning should be as active as possible. Rather than simply reviewing material, I engage students by having them explain concepts back to me throughout the lesson. This is the essence of the Feynman Technique: if a student can’t clearly articulate an idea, we’ve found an opportunity for focused growth. It allows me to identify and address gaps in understanding in real time.
Active Recall complements this by reinforcing memory through frequent, low-stakes retrieval. Instead of passively re-reading notes, students are encouraged to test their knowledge early and often. This deepens comprehension and makes future recall more reliable.
To support revision, I incorporate Blurting, a technique where students handwrite everything they remember about a topic from memory. They then refine those notes through multiple iterations, each time making them more concise and more personal. This process pushes students to isolate the core ideas and explain them in their own words, building both clarity and confidence.
Together, these methods don’t just help students memorize. They help them master. My sessions are designed to challenge thinking, encourage creativity, and build lasting academic skills.
