About Rhy
I'm Rhythm, a math educator with over 10 years of experience teaching students across all levels. I hold a Master's in Data and Information Science from Syracuse University, NY, USA, and I've worked with students in schools, tutoring centers, private tutoring.
Math wasn't always intuitive for me either, which is exactly why I care so much about making it click for others — I remember what confusion feels like, and I know what actually gets someone unstuck. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading and hiking, which helps me in continuously building patience and curiosity.
My goal with every student is the same: build real confidence, not just better grades.

I teach the thinking behind the math, not just the formulas — starting with where you actually are, then building forward through real understanding rather than memorized tricks. I explain concepts from multiple angles (visual, verbal, numerical) and let you sit with productive struggle just long enough for the "aha" to land, rather than rescuing you too early.
A typical lesson would include a quick warm-up, a short recap of what stuck from last time, then guided discovery of new material with scaffolded practice that gradually pulls support away. I close with an independent problem so I can watch your actual thinking, not just your final answer, plus a light preview for next time.
I teach the full range — foundational arithmetic through expert-level calculus, linear algebra, and proof-based math — so I catch early cracks before they cause trouble years later. I tie every abstract idea to something concrete and track your growth skill-by-skill, not just grade-by-grade.
Who it's for: Elementary and middle schoolers building number sense, high schoolers in algebra through pre-calc, AP/IB and college students in calculus, stats, or linear algebra, adult learners returning to math for career or grad-school goals, and advanced students chasing competition-level or proof-based enrichment.
