About Daniel
I am a graduate of the Royal College of Music, where I earned my Master’s degree in Performance. Following my studies, I spent seven years in Hong Kong working as a freelance oboist and oboe tutor. During that time, I had the privilege of performing with professional ensembles including the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
With over 12 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of all ages and levels, both privately and in schools—ranging from primary to secondary. I currently teach oboe for the Tower Hamlets Arts and Music Education Service (THAMES), Royal Greenwich Music Service, and Wandsworth Music.

I learnt oboe from Daniel for three years when i was 6 years old. He is a very good teacher . We had fun every lesson , he is really patience , loving and funny!
Although we are now far apart , I wish he will enjoy his music journey.My son, now 12, had been having the oboe lesson with Daniel for over 3 years. Daniel is an excellent tutor. He is patient, organized, reliable and knowledgeable. His lessons are always enjoyable and my son is motivated to practise and has done well in the exam. Highly recommended!!
Mr. Daniel Tam had taught my son Enson playing Oboe for two years. He is the best Oboe teacher we have ever had, he is always inspiring and encouraging. He also teaches Enson with lots of patience.
