I am a dancer currently with arts umbrella looking to expand my experience with teaching. Last year I danced professionally with Ballet Austin which is also where I found my interest in teaching.

My name is Nya Tinio-Mitchell and I am a company dancer at Ballet Austin. I have had the pleasure of working, dancing, and teaching alongside Emiliano for the past two years. In that time, he has shown himself to be an enthusiastic and passionate artist, a hard-working, formidable technician and an open, kind-hearted person. He is extremely easy to work with, and no one works harder or smarter. Emiliano has an incredible knowledge and performance experience with dance across multiple disciplines, and I have seen firsthand how clearly he understands how to communicate and share his ideas this love of dance through his teaching. He is able to adapt and easily understand how best to help students of a variety of ages and training backgrounds. I feel as though I learn something new about the work and the art form every time I speak to Emiliano, and can say with full confidence that this is something every one of his students would agree with.
