Yaamin is an absolute master when it comes to accents and voice work. In just a few sessions he transformed my American accent into something completely authentic, and gave me tools to switch easily between different UK regional voices. It’s opened up so many more opportunities for me as an actor.

I had the privilege to work with Yaamin when I was attending IDSA as a classmate but also attended his PAE workshop sessions, which he organised and led as extra sessions to practice our skills, through movement, voice and script breakdowns. Yaamin has a very warm and guiding approach to acting as a whole, but will still push you in a way that makes you want to better yourself. Exploring the text not through theory, but the way it was meant to be performed through movement, voice and realism. Yaamin is extremely passionate in his rhetoric and is a great listener, working with you and applying his teachings with the focus of sharpening and honing the current skills that you have. This was most evident when I used to be a member of PAE. An acting group created and led by yaamin where he would lead a number of different acting workshops to improve monologues and explore a range of acting techniques.
