Hello, and welcome! My name is Heather, and I’m passionate about helping students succeed in English and Philosophy at the GCSE level. My approach is all about creating a positive, supportive, and engaging environment where you feel comfortable and confident in your learning. I take a student-centred approach to tutoring, which means I adapt my lessons to each student’s unique learning style, needs, and strengths. My goal is to help students not only understand the subject matter but also develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed independently. I strive to make lessons engaging, relevant, and interactive, using a range of teaching techniques to keep students motivated and focused. My typical lessons are 60 minutes long. This allows enough time to cover the material thoroughly while keeping the focus sharp. However, I’m flexible and can adjust lesson length depending on the student’s needs. I hold an A Level in English Literature and Philosophy, Religion and Ethics alongside a GCSE in English Literature, English Language, and Religious Studies. My tutoring is tailored for GCSE students, typically between the ages of 14 and 16. However, I am flexible and will also work with students from the age of 11. I work with students at varying levels, from those needing extra support to those aiming for higher grades.
