About Matthew
In June 2023, I finished my GCSE exams and came out with 2 x 8's in GCSE Chemistry and Maths, 5 x 7's in GCSE English Literature, Language, Computer Science, Physics, Biology and a 6 in GCSE Photography, I also completed a BTEC in Business Studies, and achieved a Level 2 Distinction*. I am now studying A-Level Mathematics, Further Maths, and Physics. I am also doing an AS level in the Extended Project Qualification looking into the integration of artificial intelligence into the Secondary Education system. I am very passionate about education and have actively taken a part in the "Subject to Change Project Council" which looks into how the education system should be amended and takes part in producing reports for the government to suggest changes for improvement. I have been back to my old high school several times to teach maths lessons and while i was there I taught Maths, Physics, Chemistry and a bit of biology to some other students at school, which has helped them to achieve better grades in their GCSEs.

I would find weak areas and target those as I know too well having been through my GCSEs how important it is to understand your weak areas and target them. I also understand the importance of finding which revision method works the best and can enhance how well you understand a topic. I have had some experience in tutoring in interventions and helping peers and some I have taught entire topics to, I worked with several students over a few months specifically on maths to help with subtopics and topics they did not understand. Since I study Maths, Further Maths and Physics, I have a greater depth of understanding and am very comfortable teaching these subjects at GCSE level.
