About Grace
I am a mature undergraduate student who is new to Montreal and excited to become more involved in the community. I have experience working with and tutoring children, and I enjoy creating supportive, engaging learning environments that help students build confidence and curiosity. Outside of tutoring, I love reading and writing short stories, which often informs my approach to learning and creativity. I am especially interested in getting to know Montreal better through tutoring and connecting with families and students in the city while supporting their educational goals.

I tutor high school–level English literature with a focus on building strong reading, writing, and analytical skills. As an English literature degree student, I help make challenging texts more approachable by guiding students through close reading, discussion, and structured analysis.
My teaching style is student-centered and adaptable. Lessons focus on understanding literary devices, themes, and characters, as well as developing clear thesis statements and well-organized essays supported by textual evidence. I emphasize critical thinking and help students gain confidence in expressing their own interpretations.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student’s goals, followed by focused work on a text, assignment, or essay. Sessions often include close reading, planning or revising written work, and targeted feedback, ending with clear next steps.
I work with high school students at all levels, supporting coursework, exam preparation, and essay writing, with lessons tailored to specific texts and curriculum requirements.
