My lessons involve building rapport and knowledge. It is important for a student to trust an instructor. Knowledge is only passed down when it is perceived as valuable. I start by discussing what my students' goals are, then move on to figuring out what level my student is currently at. Next, we bridge the gap by taking the necessary baby steps - I meet my students where they are at.
