About Andrew
I have always loved biology because it helps explain life as a connected story: how cells communicate, how systems work together, and how small molecular events can shape the health of an entire organism. As a tutor, I hope to share that perspective with students and help them see biology as more than a list of terms to memorize. My goal is to make each lesson clear, engaging, and encouraging, while helping students build both confidence and curiosity. I bring a serious and professional approach to tutoring, supported by my biology coursework at Yale and my research experience in cardiovascular medicine. I would be excited to work with students who want to strengthen their understanding of biology, prepare for class or exams, or simply develop a deeper appreciation for the subject.

As a biology tutor, my approach is to make complex concepts feel clear, organized, and approachable. I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind biological processes rather than simply memorizing facts. A typical lesson includes reviewing difficult material, breaking down key concepts with diagrams and examples, and practicing questions together to build confidence. As a Yale student, I draw on high-quality course resources, study strategies, and problem-solving methods from my own biology coursework to support my students. My lessons are best suited for middle school, high school, introductory college biology, or students hoping to strengthen their foundation in biology. Moreover, as a pre-medical student currently conducting research, I also offer consultation in college course selection and research opportunities.
