About Rosie
I am an undergraduate student at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a former student of the Junior Conservatoire of RNCM, where I developed my musical training in a focused and inspiring environment. I have been fortunate to learn from experienced musicians and teachers (currently from LSO, LPO, RPO and RLPO), and I bring that same supportive and structured approach into my own teaching.
I am particularly interested in helping students feel more comfortable and expressive in their music-making, and I aim to create lessons that are encouraging, patient, and enjoyable. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my approach to suit each individual student.
In addition to Bassoon and Flute I have a strong proficiency and professional experience in Singing, Piano, Saxophone, and Clarinet

My teaching approach is tailored to each student's individual goals, experience, and learning style. Whether a student is preparing for exams, auditions, or simply learning for enjoyment, I aim to create a supportive and engaging environment that develops both technical skills and musical confidence.
For instrumental lessons, I focus on building a strong technical foundation alongside musical expression, helping students understand not just how to play, but why music works the way it does, whether that's for graded examinations or enjoyment. I encourage students to develop effective practice habits, listening skills, and independence in their learning.
For music theory, I aim to make concepts clear and practical by connecting them directly to real musical examples and repertoire.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although shorter lessons can be arranged for younger students.
I am a trained classical musician with advanced experience in bassoon and flute, and I am also able to teach music theory, aural skills, musicianship, and other aspects of music education. Through my studies and performance experience, I have worked with musicians of varying ages and abilities and understand the different challenges students may face at each stage of their development.
Lessons are suitable for beginners through to advanced students, including children, teenagers, and adults. I am happy to support students preparing for ABRSM or Trinity examinations, school and university auditions, youth orchestra auditions, music theory exams, or those learning purely for personal enjoyment.
