About Ella
I’ve been screenwriting for seven years and I’m halfway through my bachelor's degree in film at a top 20 film school in the US. I’ve done screenwriting programs at UCLA, Northwestern, and CalArts as well as worked on 5+ senior theses since getting to Wesleyan (one of which I assistant directed as a sophomore). I’ve made multiple games since arriving at Wes, have two children’s books in the making, and am writing a series in my free time (with a friend). I’ve taken courses with industry professionals since getting to Wesleyan, helped pitch a show with renowned writer Christy Stratton, and have worked on multiple professional sets.
I love writing and art. They’ve been my true loves since I was a kid. I want to help this next generation in their journeys to making amazing pieces.

My lessons will be a fun, comprehensive way of learning about screenwriting, filmmaking, and story. I can teach how to use industry level screenwriting programs, how to storyboard, make a beat sheet, make a pitch stack, an elevator pitch, and more! We can pursue new or existing stories and polish until each one is the best it can be.
Depending on the want/needs of the student I can also teach shot composition, the importance of different aspects of each stage of production, how to make concept art, and other aspects of film beyond screenwriting.
I love everything film and want to help my students become the best future filmmaker they can be!
