I am a current senior at Sacred Heart University studying Health Administration on the Pre-PA track. I have been tutoring anatomy for 2 years now and received an A in both Anatomy I and II.

About Irene
My name is Irene, I am from Long Island, New York, but currently am away at school in Fairfield Connecticut. I am 21 years old and am applying to Physicians Assistant School for the Fall of 2024. I am a Health Administration Major with a Biology, Chemistry and Management Minor in the Thomas Moore Honors Program at Sacred Heart University. I am involved in Pre-PA club, Relay for Life, Order of Omega and am member of the Delta Zeta Sorority at SHU. My overall GPA is a 3.81, with a 3.96 in my major classes and a 3.6 for my science GPA. I have taken Biology I and II, Chemistry I and II, Anatomy I and II, Organic Chemistry I and II, Biochemistry I and am enrolled to take Microbiology and Genetics in the Spring of my last semester of undergrad. I am an active Classroom Learning Teaching Assistant for Anatomy as well as a tutor for students. I am also a Peer Mentor for academics. Overall, I am a very good teacher and had a lot of positive feedback as well as success stories from the students I helped.

I use virtual style teaching currently so this will not be any different. I use outlines of course material with different details that I found to be important for exams. As for lab, I have labelled pictures of anatomical tissues and models used in the classroom for our practical exams. As a tutor I am very hands on and use real life examples to enhance learning. (ie- talking about aerobic respiration, glycolysis and creatine phosphate, I use an exam of when running a marathon and when each come into play). These lessons are for undergraduate health care students (typically sophomore year of college).
