About Nicholas
I have been involved with music theory for 6 years now, and have taken nine courses involving it. I have studied from the beginning of tonal analysis all the way through modern atonal theory. As a current music student at Boston University, I have written multiple papers and taken many courses involving or about music theory. I scored a five on the AP exam when I took it, and have also taken multiple aural skills courses.

Music theory is such a broad topic, but one of my biggest strengths is my flexibility.
I've tutored students from intervals all the way to atonal analysis. We can look at music theory from a songwriting, analytical, compositional, or hobbyist perspective! I can guarantee that what you will be taught will be catered to you. If your goals changed, that isn't a problem, we will work to make you feel successful!
In addition to theory, I believe a strong set of aural skills can be developed in tandem with the traditional knowledge. This is something that can supplement and even improve the comprehension of the lessons.
I am well versed in the AP music theory exam, and can help prepare students for that as well.
