About Praghya
Hello. My name is Praghya. Why should you choose me as your tutor? I have expertise in Biology and have found the subject fascinating for a long time. I have undergone studies for a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University. I am currently in my first year of medical school, where I am honing my knowledge of the biological sciences even further. I graduated with a GPA of 6.75 in my bachelor of Biomedical sciences and graduated VCE in 2018 with a study score in Biology of around 48 and an ATAR of 95.20.

Tutoring, to me, is not only teaching the knowledge enough to get the grades deemed appropriate, but it is the journey that you have with the student to praise the achievements along the way and also to understand the fulfilment in overcoming the hardships to create those into achievements. I believe as a tutor, I will be able to focus on the main weaknesses of the students in the particular field of subject and try to challenge students to think deeper than what is in the study design and to try to understand the material and not merely memorise. I have learnt that the hard way!
I will structure lessons based on the study design. Every session will teach about a new topic focused on the VCAA study design (the material considered high yield and will be tested in the exam). Past paper questions will be provided for each study design to consolidate further the knowledge learnt in the class. It is recommended that the student lets me know their weaknesses and strengths that they are facing regarding a subject before every class or even through an email so that the class can be tailored more for them. Remember that we are working towards the student's success, and their success is my success as well.
I would be available to primary tutor over Zoom. However, I am happy to travel up to 10kms to a public library if it is appropriate for the student. It is best to contact me primarily through my phone number. Keen to hear from you soon.
