About Zenna
My teaching experience started over 5 years ago and began with leading education programs for primary students. A year into the program, the pandemic hit and we shifted to online learning. It was a difficult transition for the students but creating interactive lessons via educational game platforms like Kahoot helped keep them engaged. I changed my major from environmental science to psychology when I transferred to college. I was quickly recruited as a lab manager to one of the largest labs on campus due to my hard work ethic and good marks. As a manager and research assistant, I frequently read and edited research papers and wrote many essays and research proposals that received high marks. In my last year, I was a teaching assistant for a Neuroscience class. In that role, I led bi-weekly study sessions and created my lesson on the reward system. As a current master's student, I have applied to PhD programs to become a professor and continue teaching about psychology and mentoring students in their reading, writing, research design, and critical thinking skills.

In our first meeting, we will establish your educational goals using the SMART system. My approach to tutoring is flexible and individualistic as lessons are based on each student's needs and abilities. I have teaching experience with students from primary school (level 1; ages 5-12) to college (level 8). Lessons will typically take 30 minutes to an hour depending on the material and availability of the student.
