About Audrey
I became a teacher because I struggled academically in elementary school and didn’t have someone who could commit extra time to help me understand subjects. I was often bored being lectured in school, which led me to zone out and fall behind, but that's why I make sure my approach to teaching subjects is engaging and personalized.
My experiences in school have shaped how I teach because I know the extra time I spend to ensure a student thoroughly understands a subject is well worth it. I also believe that learning can be fun and engaging, even in a virtual format; it just takes a little extra work!
I am also pursuing my occupational therapy doctorate, which adds an interesting perspective as I often have to think out of the box and create new ways of doing things.

I have experience teaching math, reading, literature, science, and history in elementary school settings.
I prefer to work one-on-one with students to understand who they are and what learning style is best for them. Understanding the student allows me to create tailored plans to get information across in the way that's most beneficial. Additionally, it helps me create a more welcoming environment because the student knows that I care about them, and I hope this helps create a better attitude toward learning!
