About Gabby
In 2022, 2 students received scores in the top 1% in ICAS Writing, another 4 students were placed in the top 10%. Of 23 students in my class, 18 students received in the top band for at least 1 NAPLAN subject area.
I develop strong, long lasting relationships with students and celebrate their achievements as if they were my own children. They are given feedback in the form of “What Went Well” and “Even Better If” which is supported by research to improve student outcomes and confidence.

I use a positive education approach combined with explicit instructional lessons to educate students to succeed. To teach spelling, I teach students how to identify spelling patterns, unusual letter combinations and sounds. Students in my care learn about tri graphs, the function of double letter sounds, long and short vowel sounds and many more so that they are fully equipped to sound out challenging words during their own writing time.
When tutoring VCE English and Revolutions History, I have a plethora of resources to inform and enrich their learning. I use a step by step process on how to write high level essays and provide consistent and effective feedback to prepare them for final exams.
