About Maryann
My name is Maryann and I have been a full-time French teacher for two years. I have a K-12 teaching license but can tutor students of any age. I have a B.A. in French and a B.S. in World Language Education from The Ohio State University. I have been speaking French for twelve years, and have a deep love for French culture ad history, which I intertwine with my lesson content to allow students to build a deep understanding of French and the people around the world who speak it.
I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring online, and am able to use different virtual resources to make this a pleasant, engaging, and impactful experience for you.

I am a current French teacher who uses culture, history, and current events in my French lessons to help students become well rounded in French language and culture. I've been speaking French for twelve years and teaching full time for two. Working with others to become francophones is one of the greatest passions in my life.
My lessons are structured to have students use what they learn in a practical manner. I teach grammar and vocabulary first, then leading them into being able to read, write, speak, and listen to content related to that topic. I teach students that are anywhere from beginner to advanced in their French-speaking ability.
I adore the French language and culture and look forward to helping you learn and become a fluent francophone.
