I use a highly interactive, question-and-answer-based approach that emphasizes constant engagement. Each lesson begins with a short diagnostic quiz or series of questions to assess the student’s current understanding. Based on their responses, I tailor the lesson dynamically, asking follow-up questions to clarify concepts.
Typical lesson plan:
1. Short diagnostic test
2. Goal setting of what will be accomplished in that lesson
3. Teaching of the concept (bulk of the class)
4. Short testing of learnt concept
5. Homework
Each lesson is treated as a conversation towards learning, not a lecture. These style of lessons are best suited to middle school and high school students aiming to improve their skills in any type of mathematics or SAT test preparation.
