About Makenna
I am passionate about nutrition and how food is medicine for the body. After graduating with my bachelor's degree in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson & Wales, I will go on to earn my master's degree in nutrition and dietetics. I work with each student individually by learning their strengths. I teach with a positive reinforcement approach, where words of encouragement are important in my virtual classroom!

As a current college student with 3+ years of tutoring experience, all K-12 material is still relevant and fresh in mind. I have worked mostly with high schoolers, but I am excited to work with any age group, including college students. My goal is to learn the student individually and teach based on their strengths while improving their weaknesses. I will provide quick responses to immediate questions, and will work more slowly with those who want to understand their material on a deeper level.
