About Jay
I am Jay, a third year medical student at Jesus College in the University of Cambridge. I am an experienced tutor for medical applications, Biology Chemistry and Maths. The medical course at Cambridge requires me to be very hardworking a value that I will replicate in all my lessons. Outside of Academics, I enjoy football, Squash, badminton, astronomy and learning other languages. I try to keep up with these extra-curricular activities as much as possible at university which requires good time management.
I was the first in my family to go to University therefore I had nobody to give me advice on academic work or how to get into university. As a result I had to do my own research and learn things for myself which was very difficult and I'm determined to try and make it easier for others. I began by tutoring my friends and family and found it to be a very rewarding experience and from there i progressed to teaching many people all across the country.

- As a student I often struggled with some of the courses there I know that people learn in different ways, therefore I will adapt my teaching to fit what is most effective for you
- A typical lesson will last 90 minutes because I think this is the optimum time but I am willing to be led by you if you would prefer less or more time
- I am Qualified tutor at the 'Oxbridge launchpad' where I have tutored people on how to get into Oxford or Cambridge to study medicine, 2/3 of the people I tutored received offers from Oxford or Cambridge with most others receiving offers from other medical schools
- I am adept at Biology, Maths and Chemistry receiving A*A*A* in my A levels
- I am a mentor at the University of Cambridge and therefore responsible for helping younger years with difficult to understand concepts.
