I am a cum laude graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with extensive experience supporting children with special needs across multiple educational and care environments. Since 2019, I have worked with students with a wide range of needs, including non-verbal learners, in both in-home care and school-based settings. These experiences have allowed me to develop a deep understanding of individualized support, behavior intervention, and collaborative care.
I am a LETRS-certified, trauma-informed educator, committed to evidence-based literacy instruction and trauma-responsive practices that support the whole child. My approach emphasizes building strong relationships, creating safe and predictable learning environments, and using data-driven strategies to promote academic growth and positive behavioral outcomes.
Currently, I serve as a Behavioral Special Education Teacher, where I design and implement individualized behavior plans, support IEP goals, and collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families. I have experience using positive behavior interventions, differentiated instruction, and structured supports to meet diverse learning needs.
I am passionate about advocating for students with disabilities and helping them reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. My professional goal is to continue creating inclusive, supportive environments where students feel understood, empowered, and successful.

Lauren is in a relationship with my son and he has 7 year old autistic twin girls and she is awesome with them. She has worked with them and taught them a lot.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Lauren for a while, and I can honestly say she has a true gift when it comes to working with children, especially those with special needs. Her patience, kindness, and understanding really set her apart.
Lauren has a natural ability to connect with kids and make them feel safe, supported, and confident. She goes above and beyond to meet each child where they are and helps them grow in a way that feels encouraging, not overwhelming.
If you’re looking for someone who is compassionate, professional, and genuinely passionate about helping children with autism thrive, Lauren is the one. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a caring and knowledgeable tutor.Works with my twin autistic daughters. One is nonverbal-verbal. Lauren is very passionate about teaching and learning. She uses my daughters’ individualized education plans to gear her instruction towards their needs. She has experience with LAMP devices and has helped me navigate through the device to help me increase my daughter’s communication skills. She is also a great advocate in educational law matters.
