About Dr Kajal
Hello, my name is Dr. Kajal Patel and I am a PhD in Botany from the University of Delhi, specializing in Ecology, and a CSIR-NET-JRF qualified educator passionate about teaching Biology and Botany and mentoring students at different academic levels.
I completed my Bachelor’s degree from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, followed by my Master’s and PhD in Botany from the Department of Botany, University of Delhi. With around 4 years of combined teaching experience, I have taught Biology to Classes 11–12 for both school and competitive examinations, as well as Botany to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
My teaching philosophy is centered on conceptual clarity, scientific thinking, and application-based learning rather than rote memorization. I use clear explanations, relevant examples, diagrams, and exam-oriented practice to help students understand concepts deeply and build confidence.
Alongside teaching, I have approximately 7 years of research experience, with research publications in reputed journals and contributions to book chapters. I also have around 4 years of experience in reviewing and proofreading scientific research articles, which enables me to provide effective guidance in scientific writing and research communication.
I also mentor students and early-career researchers in CSIR-NET/JRF preparation, research methodology, literature review, research proposals, scientific manuscript and thesis writing, proofreading, and journal submission.

My classes are tailored to each student’s academic level, learning goals, and individual needs. I focus on conceptual clarity rather than rote memorization, using step-by-step explanations, diagrams, real-life examples, applications, and exam-oriented questions.
For Classes 11–12, I teach Biology for school and competitive examinations, with emphasis on NCERT concepts, important diagrams, conceptual questions, and doubt-solving. For undergraduate and postgraduate students, I teach Botany, including Ecology, Plant Physiology, Plant Anatomy, Environmental Biology, Biodiversity, and Conservation etc.
I also provide CSIR-NET/JRF and research mentoring, covering research methodology, literature review, research proposals, scientific writing, thesis/dissertation writing assistance, manuscript preparation, proofreading, and journal submission.
My teaching approach is interactive, structured, and student-focused. I adapt lessons to each learner’s pace and requirements, helping students strengthen their knowledge, improve examination performance, and develop scientific thinking, confidence, problem-solving skills, and independent learning abilities.

My tuition fees are structured according to the student’s academic level, learning goals, and type of guidance required.
• Classes 11–12 Biology: Concept-based teaching, NCERT preparation, diagrams, doubt-solving, and examination/competitive exam preparation.
• UG & PG Botany: Detailed subject teaching, conceptual discussions, practical-oriented guidance, and exam preparation.
• CSIR-NET/JRF & Competitive Exams: Topic-wise preparation, problem-solving, previous-year questions, and strategic guidance.
• Research Mentoring: Research methodology, literature review, proposal writing, scientific writing, manuscript preparation, thesis/dissertation guidance, proofreading, and journal submission support.
Fees may vary depending on the duration, frequency, and specific requirements of the student. Trial/introductory sessions can be discussed before beginning regular classes. I aim to provide high-quality, personalized academic guidance at a reasonable and transparent fee.
