About Kristin
I have been practicing my degree in Nursing for about 9 years now. I started with a critical care residency out of college and went right into CICU. I owe all of my confidence and where I am today to two of my preceptors I had as a new grad. It inspired me to pay it forward to young compassionate students just starting out or even post-graduation as a resource for your next career move. I became a charge nurse and one of the main preceptors on my unit to help guide new nurses to success and not burn out. I also ventured into travel nursing (before COVID) and have been traveling ever since. I have worked in some of the largest and most competitive hospitals in the country to the smallest and resource-deprived hospitals; where you have every type of resource to your it. I’d like to think it keeps me on my toes and keeps my skills and knowledge up to date as in nursing you are forever a student. I enjoy helping others have the “ah-ha” moment and guide them to succeed into their chosen career path.

I myself remember what it was like in school and post-graduation and how studying is very fluid-based and there are multiple different types and ways to study. I pride myself in being flexible as to how I teach individuals and try to focus on the best way they learn and retain information. For me, I’m very hands-on and have to teach people to retain information and did not do well with flashcards and memorizing. However, I love to help people in their own personal way of learning. I will help make flashcards, I will be your “patient” you're teaching medications to and I will help you understand critical thinking and developing critical thinking skills. I am also a big fan of case studies and simulations.
