About Sarah
I’ve loved reading and writing my whole life, and love to help others see the inner workings and relevance of literature. I think it’s vital that students gain a good understanding of creative thinking and analysis as it applies to every area of life, and can become a gateway into so many wider fields, for example ethics, business, and politics. Even if you’re just looking to pass your exams, I hope I can make English enjoyable and rewarding!

Lessons are entirely based around helping the student to come to conclusions by themselves and enabling them to replicate the process on their own. We’ll focus on being able to name and understand literary techniques, analysing texts, practising essay and/or creative writing, including context in analysis, and getting to know set texts well (e.g. quoting and references). Lessons go at a comfortable pace for the student and are structured around specific preferences/needs.
