About Gena
As a Singing tutor with 12 years of experience, I have guided many students towards becoming skilled and confident performers. I teach School students, College students, and Working Professionals, providing personalised lessons that support both technical and artistic growth.
My teaching philosophy centres on creating an engaging and encouraging learning environment. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, exploring their creativity, and challenging themselves. Therefore, I design lessons that are both structured and enjoyable.
My lessons include vocal exercises, breath support, pitch correction, rhythm training, tone development, articulation, and performance preparation. Through practical demonstrations, song practice, and constructive feedback, students gain the skills needed to excel as singers.
In addition to Singing, I teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Vocal Performance, and Music Appreciation. These subjects help students develop a broader understanding of music and become more versatile musicians. I also emphasise consistent practice and healthy vocal techniques.
I am passionate about helping students discover their strengths and achieve their goals. My aim is to make learning music a rewarding and inspiring experience for every learner.

My methodology for teaching Singing focuses on helping students discover and develop their unique voices through flexibility, creativity, understanding, and effective time management. I believe that every voice is special and deserves personalised attention and guidance.
I begin by understanding the student's musical interests, learning preferences, and goals. Based on this information, I create lessons that support individual growth and encourage continuous improvement.
Creativity is a central part of my teaching. I use improvisation activities, vocal exercises, song interpretation, and listening practice to help students strengthen their technical abilities while expressing themselves artistically.
My lessons cover breath support, pitch accuracy, rhythm, diction, vocal tone, vocal range, and stage presence. Students learn practical techniques that improve both performance quality and vocal confidence.
Understanding and patience help me create a welcoming learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their voices without fear of judgement.
Time management ensures that each lesson remains focused and productive. Sessions are carefully planned to include warm-ups, technical training, song application, and performance preparation.
Alongside Singing, I can teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Sight Singing, Vocal Wellness, and Music Appreciation. My goal is to help students become confident singers and creative musicians.
