About Diana
Over the past 8 years, I have taught piano to nearly 300 students, including high school learners, college students, and adults, helping them develop technical proficiency, musicality, and performance confidence.
My teaching philosophy emphasises structured learning, consistent practice, and expressive interpretation, focusing on posture, hand coordination, finger control, scales, arpeggios, rhythm, sight-reading, and musical phrasing. I structure lessons with technical exercises, repertoire practice, and theory, and I provide guidance for effective home practice to ensure steady improvement.
Many students have performed confidently in recitals, school events, and competitions, while others have achieved high distinctions in graded examinations.
My goal is to provide a motivating, supportive, and inspiring environment where students feel confident, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential as pianists.

My methodology for piano instruction is student-centred and growth-focused. I adapt my teaching style to match each learner’s preferred method of understanding music. I emphasise correct posture, steady rhythm, scale mastery, and expressive phrasing. I divide difficult pieces into manageable steps to ensure steady progress.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson intensity and pacing according to the student’s comfort. Collaboration encourages active participation in goal setting and repertoire selection. A positive environment builds confidence and reduces performance anxiety.
Alongside piano lessons, I offer instruction in music theory, keyboard skills, ear training, and beginner harmony for comprehensive musical development.
