About Romy
I earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Pedagogy and have spent the last 6 years helping students strengthen their musical skills and confidence. My passion for piano developed through years of study, performance experiences, and collaborative music-making. Teaching became an important part of my journey because I enjoy helping learners discover what they are capable of achieving. Watching students grow as musicians continues to inspire me. Every lesson presents a new opportunity to support meaningful progress.
My teaching approach combines structure, patience, and flexibility. I understand that every learner has unique strengths, goals, and challenges, so lessons are adapted accordingly. Technical instruction is always connected to practical musical application so that learning remains meaningful and engaging. Students receive clear guidance that helps them improve steadily and confidently. This creates a positive learning environment where growth feels achievable.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, studying new repertoire, and exploring music education strategies. These experiences help me bring fresh ideas into lessons. Seeing students achieve goals they once considered difficult is deeply rewarding. I strive to make every lesson encouraging and effective. My goal is to help learners develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

My piano lessons focus on helping students build strong musical foundations while encouraging creativity and personal expression. Learners work on finger independence, note-reading fluency, rhythm accuracy, coordination, dynamic control, sight reading, and musical interpretation through structured and enjoyable activities. I believe students progress best when technical development and musical understanding grow together. Lessons are designed to help learners understand how music works rather than simply memorizing notes. This creates deeper confidence and long-term success.
Each lesson is adapted to the individual needs of the student. Some learners enjoy structured skill development, while others are motivated by creative exploration and performance goals. Activities may include duet playing, rhythm exercises, keyboard harmony, improvisation, ear training, accompaniment skills, and repertoire development. Regular feedback helps learners improve steadily while staying motivated and engaged. This balanced approach supports both technical growth and musical enjoyment.
My goal is to help students become confident musicians who can approach music with independence and creativity. As skills develop, learners gain greater freedom to explore different styles and musical ideas. Lessons encourage discipline, curiosity, and self-confidence. Every accomplishment contributes to stronger musicianship. I want students to enjoy their progress and feel excited about future achievements.
