About Kathryn
I am a current college student majoring in Mathematics and have experience tutoring all levels of math ranging from middle school to college. Throughout college I have taught group tutoring sessions for calculus. I also have experience tutoring one-on-one and have been tutoring for six years. My group sessions have an extremely high retention rate and students have reported leaving my sessions with confidence and command over the material. I strive to improve my students understanding on the individual level as well, exemplified by the case of one particular student whose test scores in algebra went up by 30 percent due to my assistance.

I hope to bring an environment to my tutoring sessions that sets itself apart from the classroom. I want for my students to enjoy their time learning and honing their mathematics skills. Besides a command over mathematics I love the arts and desire to bring an interdisciplinary approach to math. I find that math is often portrayed as being only for a certain type of person, and wish to make my students feel that regardless of what they excel in, math can be something they too can love and be confident in.
