About Tzu Kai
With a strong foundation in motion design and a proven track record in education, I bring a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and teaching skills to the classroom. As a 2D Animator on the SCAD CoMotion 2024 Branding Team, I contributed to one of the largest student-led motion design conferences in the U.S., where I animated and composited key visual elements, showcasing my ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This experience sharpened my skills in storytelling, composition, and animation, and allowed me to work alongside talented peers in producing impactful design pieces.
In addition to my work in animation, I spent four years as a freelance tutor and lecturer, where I developed a deep understanding of how to break down complex concepts and engage students. I taught subjects such as Mandarin, Geography, and History to middle school students, honing my ability to tailor lessons to different learning styles. This dual background in both creative and educational fields allows me to communicate effectively, nurture talent, and guide students in mastering the art and craft of motion design.
With a passion for both design and teaching, I strive to create an environment where students not only learn technical skills but also develop a deeper understanding of visual storytelling, creativity, and communication.
