About Reagan
Hi, I’m Reagan! I am a dedicated elementary teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Film and Media and a passion for helping students learn, grow, and feel confident in their abilities. I am currently pursuing my teaching career and developing my skills through teacher preparation and hands-on educational experiences.
I believe every student has the ability to succeed when they are given patience, encouragement, and instruction that works for them. My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and trying again.
I take professionalism seriously and come prepared for each lesson with a clear plan tailored to the student’s individual needs and goals. I am patient, dependable, and committed to making learning engaging rather than overwhelming.
Whether your child needs extra practice, help understanding a challenging concept, or additional confidence in their academic abilities, I would love to help them reach their goals. My name is Reagan, and I am an elementary teacher who believes that students learn best when they feel comfortable, supported, and confident. My tutoring approach is patient, encouraging, and personalized to each student's learning style and needs. I focus on making difficult concepts easier to understand by breaking them into smaller steps and using real-life examples, visual aids, practice problems, and interactive activities.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of what the student already knows. I then introduce the new concept and explain it step-by-step before working through examples together. After that, the student practices with my guidance, and I gradually allow them to work more independently. I end each lesson by reviewing what we learned and identifying anything that may need additional practice.
What sets me apart is my focus on building both academic skills and confidence. I want students to understand not only the correct answer, but also *why* the answer is correct. I adjust my teaching style based on the individual student rather than using the same approach for everyone.
My lessons are primarily designed for elementary and middle school students who need additional support with subjects such as math, reading, writing, and general academic skills. I am especially interested in helping students who may struggle with confidence or need concepts explained in a different way. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for an upcoming assignment or test, or simply wants to strengthen their skills, I aim to make every lesson productive, positive, and encouraging.
