About Serena
I live in the outskirts of Huddersfield, with an art studio in Elland Halifax.
Im a mature student, who has been accepted on MA in Art Therapy course, planning to start in January 2025.
I have a First Class Honours Degree in Contemporary Art and Foundation Degree with grade Distinction and received 'Outstanding Student' award from university in September 2024. I have facilitated sessions with mixed ability groups , working for Hebden Bridge Arts, Everybody Arts in Halifax and delivered art classes at day centres and community centres.
In 2024 I won a couple of prestigious awards for my own art work, Visual Art Open, new and emerging artist award for a sculptural piece that was on show at the international art fair 'Other Art Fair' at the venue Truman Brewery, Bricklane London. Also Crossley Gallery Dean Clough in Halifax, recently I was also short listed for Visual Art Open, emerging new artist, UK and international award. I have exhibited my work across the region in a number of galleries and have an inclusive approach to tutoring art and design for all ages.
I hold a clear DBS enhanced certification.
