About Roshine
I am a practising illustrator and art teacher. I create watercolours inspired by nature, with a love of botanicals and enchanting stories. I also make small batch one-off ceramic artworks, again embracing themes of nature as my inspiration. I have a Fine Art BA degree and a HND in Applied Arts-Jewellery. My experience has enabled me to understand design processes to create functional and non-functional pieces as well as creating artworks. I enjoy learning new disciplines and I have knowledge and skills in a wide range of mediums. I am happy to pass on my skills to budding artists, beginners and improvers. I can offer individual teaching and group sessions. I welcome all age groups. Let’s create art together!

I really enjoy seeing my students improve and gain confidence in their art. I enjoy being able to pass on my knowledge and skills. I believe you can create something great that you will be proud of! I can adapt my lessons to what you want to learn. For example, do you want to focus on learning how to draw? Or would like to learn watercolour techniques? Maybe you want to explore a range of mediums? Perhaps you are a student that needs help with your sketchbooks and portfolio? Whatever your artist goals are, I can help you. For new mediums and processes. I will go over the fundamentals of a medium, teach tone, introduce you to a range of mark making techniques, help you explore ideas, explain how to refine your work. I offer encouragement and helpful feedback throughout the process. I currently teach group classes to adults on a weekly basis. We cover drawing, charcoal, soft and oil pastels, watercolours, gouache, acrylics, mixed media and collage. I have run art classes for children and young people in educational settings and in workshops. I have experience working in schools with A level Art students, both in groups and one-to-one sessions. I am a practising illustrator who also makes jewellery and ceramics. Therefore I can help with 2D and 3D art. My lessons can be online or at your home. Some lessons can be considered at my home.

Travel costs can be £0-£10 depending on mileage. Free up to 3 miles with free parking. Material costs may need to be added for certain lessons. I can create a student pack of materials for you to purchase and keep. Prices for group sessions will be calculated based upon number of participants, venue hire (if needed) and material costs.
