About Melany
Now in the first year of a Master's degree in Management, I was initially heading towards medical studies. Having failed the dreaded first year, I decided to undertake studies in the HEC faculty at the University of Lausanne.
This first year of medicine was certainly a “failure”, but I see it more as an opportunity to learn. It made me realize several things: you don't have to be intelligent to succeed in everything you do, what you need is to find the right balance in your life and a working method adapted to your needs. It is therefore essential for me to encourage students not to become demotivated when they fail, because this is part of learning.
In addition, I attach a lot of importance to the working method. Indeed, it can help us to be more efficient, allowing us to have more time available to do other things that we enjoy!

Concerning the course of my lessons, I first target the student's difficulties by asking her to show me the exercises she does in class and her way of proceeding. In addition to the material covered in class, it is essential for me to help the student develop a certain logic and methodology when solving the exercises. I always check at the end of the lessons that the student has understood everything we saw during the lesson.
Very patient, I make sure to explain in different ways by simplifying and schematizing the concepts if necessary.
