About Cliff
I am 69 and mostly retired. I am active - short triathlons and skiing. I live in Edinburgh. I travel quite a lot. I like helping people, especially people struggling to adjust to a new country. Blaming immigrants for social problems is horrible. I enjoy having a laugh or the ‘craic’ as they say in Scotland. I am from near London originally. I speak basic French and Spanish. I sometimes volunteer and for about 3 weeks a year I work as a rep taking school groups skiing in the Alps.

Default is unstructured conversational English but I can adjust and structure sessions to suit e.g. give a more academic slant, business-oriented or job-specific. I’ll follow up sessions with a short message including new words and expressions learned (or is it learnt haha). I am currently tutoring a Polish adult for free as a follow-on from a one-to-one voluntary week teaching near Krakow.
