About Andrew
I recently completed his master’s degree at the Eastman School of Music, and previously completed his bachelor’s degree at California State University, Fresno, where I studied both trombone and upright bass.
Currently, I am a doctoral student at Eastman, where I instruct the non-major jazz performance small groups, as well as the non-major jazz trombone lessons. In addition to this, I am also one of the jazz trombone instructors for the Eastman Community Music School, the pre-college program attached to the University.

Ever student has different needs, and a different starting place, so each should be treated as an individualized approach. My general focus in practice is reducing tension, and finding effective and efficient ways to approach the instrument, with an emphasis on proper use of air, relaxation techniques, and creative approaches for practicing improvisation.
