About Benjamin
My name is Benjamin, and I am a history major at Connecticut College, class of 2028. I have two years of hands-on experience teaching elementary and middle school students, and spent this past summer working directly with young people as a camp counselor.
My academic focus in American and modern European history is backed by real-world study — I have traveled to Poland, Germany, Georgia, and Alabama to explore these subjects beyond the textbook.
I am committed, reliable, and take my students' progress seriously. I look forward to helping your child build both their knowledge and their confidence in history.

As a Connecticut College history major specializing in American and modern European history, I bring real-world experience to every lesson. Having traveled to Poland, Germany, Georgia, and Alabama to study the Holocaust and the Civil Rights Movement firsthand, I connect historical events to lived human stories in a way that makes history feel relevant and alive.
My lessons are interactive and discussion-based, drawing on my experience designing experiential activities as a camp counselor and teaching elementary and middle school students at a Brooklyn synagogue. A typical session starts by reviewing key concepts, then dives into primary sources, storytelling, and open conversation to build critical thinking alongside content knowledge.
I tutor elementary, middle, and high school students in American history, modern European history, and world history. Whether you need help keeping up with classwork, preparing for papers and exams, or simply developing a deeper love for the subject. My background working with diverse groups of young people means I adapt my style to each student, meeting them where they are and making sure no one gets left behind.
