About Noah
My name is Noah, and I’m an advanced pilot-in-training at Hillsboro Aero Academy with extensive experience in both Private and Instrument-level flight training. I’ve recently passed my Instrument Rating and am now progressing through Commercial training, so my knowledge is current and directly aligned with today’s FAA standards. I’ve spent hundreds of hours studying the same material my students are learning, which allows me to explain concepts in a clear, practical way. I specialize in helping pilots-in-training understand not just what to memorize, but why the systems, regulations, and weather principles work as they do. Students describe my approach as patient, structured, and realistic — I teach the way pilots actually think in the cockpit. Whether you’re preparing for your checkride, written test, or just trying to feel more confident during training, I’ll make sure the material clicks and stays with you.

️ My Approach as a Tutor
I keep lessons simple, practical, and focused on real understanding rather than memorization. I explain concepts like airspace, weather, and procedures using real examples from training and flight experience so the information sticks.
Each session is casual but structured — we’ll pick one topic, talk it through clearly, and go over common mistakes students make during written or oral prep.
What sets me apart is that I’ve recently gone through Private and Instrument training myself, so I teach the way I wish it had been explained to me — direct, logical, and easy to remember.
My lessons are best for student pilots working toward the Private or Instrument Rating, or anyone who wants to brush up on ground knowledge before checkrides or written exams.
