I started playing piano when I was 3 years old. Up until my post-graduate years, I was studying music very seriously and intensely. I was classically trained and played in competitions, showcases, and was an honors music pre-college student at Rollins College during my high school years. I studied music theory as well and tutored other students in it.
I have taught piano only twice to younger students, but I have previously worked as a teacher, and otherwise have been working in education for the majority of my post-grad career. Therefore, I have a really strong foundation in teaching in general and building relationships with students. I have taught in classroom settings, small groups, and in one-on-one settings as well.
