About Rakshna
My name is Rakshna, and I am a Computer Science graduate from VIT, Vellore with a deep interest in education, mentorship, and student development. Throughout my academic journey, I discovered that one of the most fulfilling experiences for me was helping peers and juniors understand complex topics — especially in Algorithms, Arithmetic (Mathematics), and Social Science. Watching students gain confidence and achieve clarity motivated me to pursue tutoring more seriously. I teach because I believe quality education should be supportive, engaging, and tailored to each learner’s unique needs. Many students struggle not due to lack of ability, but due to unclear explanations, rushed pacing, or reduced confidence. My goal is to bridge that gap by creating lessons that are patient, structured, and encouraging, where students can ask questions freely and build strong foundations step by step. For me, teaching is not just about delivering content — it is about empowering students. I aim to help learners develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-belief, ensuring they not only improve academically but also grow into confident, independent thinkers who are prepared to succeed beyond the classroom.

My name is Rakshna, and I take a structured, student-centered approach to teaching Algorithms, Arithmetic (Mathematics), and Social Science. I believe every student learns differently, so I begin by identifying each learner’s strengths, gaps, and preferred learning style before customizing lessons to meet their needs and academic goals. My methodology combines concept breakdown, real-world examples, guided practice, and exam-style questioning. For Algorithms and Mathematics, I emphasize step-by-step problem solving, visualization, and reasoning skills to ensure students truly understand the logic behind each concept rather than memorizing steps. In Social Science, I focus on thematic understanding, case-based discussions, structured note-making, and writing techniques so students can express answers clearly and confidently in exams. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, which includes concept teaching, practice exercises, doubt clarification, and quick revision or quizzes to reinforce learning. I am a Computer Science graduate from VIT, Vellore, with a strong academic background in mathematics, programming, and analytical subjects, as well as experience mentoring peers and tutoring students through project-based learning and exam preparation. My lessons are suitable for upper primary, secondary school, and JC students (ages approximately 10–18), including those preparing for school assessments, national examinations, or who simply need confidence-building support in these subjects. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, develop strong foundations, and achieve consistent academic improvement.
