About Chioma
I am a Computing Science undergraduate with experience volunteering as a mathematics tutor for students in neighbouring communities. I am committed to assisting Year 8 students in establishing a strong foundation in mathematics and preparing thoroughly for their external examinations. I employ clear and patient explanations, utilising diagrams and practical examples to facilitate comprehension of complex concepts. I maintain a high standard of professionalism, reliability, and approachability, fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment. My objective is to empower students to build confidence in their abilities and achieve their academic aspirations.

As a Computing Science undergraduate and experienced volunteer tutor, I help students build strong foundations in maths. I’ve supported classes in my neighbouring community, working with learners of different abilities and adapting lessons to suit their needs. My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and interactive. I break complex topics into simple steps, using clear diagrams, visual aids, and real-life examples to make concepts easier to understand. Lessons include plenty of guided practice and opportunities for students to ask questions freely, all at a pace that builds confidence. LESSON STRUCTURE: A typical session lasts 120 minutes and includes: Quick recap of previous topics Step-by-step explanation with diagrams and examples Guided practice with feedback Short review and tips for independent study WHO MY LESSONS ARE FOR: Year 8 students or similar ability level Learners who need extra support or want to strengthen their maths skills My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated to improve and enjoy the learning process.
