About Ethan
Hi, I'm Ethan! I am a rising freshman at Cornell University studying Computer Science and Mathematics. I received a 1540 on the Digital SAT, and a 1490/1520 on the PSAT, and I am a National Merit Finalist. I am passionate about the study of mathematics, and have previously tutored Geometry, Algebra II, and AP Calculus AB. I have also received 5s on 7 AP Exams, including AP Physics I, AP Latin, AP US History, AP US Government, AP Computer Science A, and AP Calculus AB. Having worked in both volunteer and paid positions with younger students, I have several years of experience in effective tutoring methods, ensuring that your student will understand whatever concept is troubling them. Rather than just teaching them, my goal is to cultivate the learning skills that will serve them throughout the rest of their academic career, putting them on a path to success. For each student, I create an individualized lesson plan that adapts to their schedule and learning rate.

I am available to tutor several subjects: for Mathematics, I can tutor SAT Math, Middle School Math, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, and Calculus I. I am also able to tutor in SAT Reading & Writing, US History, Mechanics-Based Physics (Algebra and Calculus), Computer Science, Latin, and Chinese. For every student, I create a custom lesson plan, tailored to their needs. I include any additional work that needs to be done in between lessons and online resources.
