About Milan
I am a computer programming tutor with over 7 years of teaching experience, guiding high school and college students to master programming concepts and practical applications. Over the years, I have successfully taught around 300 students, helping them improve their skills in Java, C, SQL, and basic web development.
My teaching philosophy is simple: learning programming should be practical, engaging, and adaptable to each student’s needs. I focus on building strong foundations in coding, algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming, while showing how these skills apply in real-world projects and problem-solving. I follow a step-by-step approach, breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand explanations and interactive exercises.
Communication, empathy, and positivity are central to my sessions. I ensure that every student feels supported, motivated, and confident as they tackle coding challenges. I also guide students in exam preparation, assignments, and project work, making sure they gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

My approach to teaching computer programming focuses on building strong foundations while making learning engaging and practical. I teach core programming concepts using Java, including object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, file handling, and exception handling. I also cover related subjects such as C, SQL, and basic web development to give students a broader understanding of programming and its applications.
I follow a step-by-step methodology, starting from basic concepts and gradually moving to advanced topics. Each lesson is interactive, with hands-on coding exercises and real-world examples that help students apply what they learn immediately. I emphasise problem-solving and logical thinking, guiding students to write efficient and error-free code.
Communication is central to my teaching style. I explain concepts in simple, clear language and encourage students to ask questions whenever they need clarification. I practise empathy, understanding that each student learns differently, and I adapt my approach to match their pace and learning style. Positivity and encouragement are key in my sessions, helping students stay motivated and confident as they tackle challenging problems.
I also assist students in exam preparation, assignments, and project work, providing tailored guidance to ensure they understand both the theory and practical aspects of programming. My goal is to help students become competent programmers, develop critical thinking, and gain the confidence to apply their skills in academics and their future careers.
With over seven years of tutoring experience and hundreds of students successfully guided, I combine technical expertise with a supportive and encouraging teaching style. I aim to make learning programming an enjoyable, rewarding, and empowering journey for every student.
